We are an active parish which relies on the volunteers from within to help. Each Ministry is an invitation and an opportunity to serve and to be involved in the Parish community.

Acolytes
Prior to 1972, Acolytes were considered the highest of the minor orders. Although Acolytes do not receive the sacrament of Holy Orders, they were once considered a part of the clergy. Since then, Acolytes may be any baptized layman. The term “altar server” may also be used for those who assist the Priest during Mass.

Altar Society
A group who meet to offer assistance to the Church.

Commonly known as “readers”, they consist of both laypeople and clergy.

Catechists
Teaching the word of God to others.

Rite of Christian Initiation
The process for which willing adults are gradually introduced into the Roman Catholic Church.

Ministers to the Sick
Also known as Camillians, this is a Roman Catholic religious order founded by Saint Camillus de Lellis.

Eucharistic Ministers
Consisting of both laypeople and clergy, these are members of our Parish who help administer the Eucharist.
